Have just come back from vets with my 13 year old scottie he had a lump the size of a pea between his toes and was unable to walk when we arrived at the vets he seemed much better and the vet squeezed it and some yuckky pus came out she gave me some antibiotics but said he needed to have a blood test before she could give me pain killers so he had the test and vet tells me that his kidneys, pancreas and diabtes are all ok but he has inflammation of the liver which she thinks could be cushions diease he need another blood test and monthly tablets which are very expensive and she dosent think at his age will benefit him very much just wondering if anyone out there has a dog with this and could recommend something herbal as he cant take any painkillers anymore thanks in advance

I think your vet meant Cushing's disease. I just googled & got loads of info - why not give it a try?
I had an old pony that showed all the symptoms but I don't know how it affects dogs.
and...breathe...

punctuation!
I found this on my vets website. I can't work out how to post the link, but got to www.biltonvets.co.uk and clikc on Advice and then it is there.

I think it is called Cushings disease not Cushions disease I think.

Hope this helps
