Hi all!
Had a fantastic Thursday evening experience.
We were invited round with a couple of other wildlife enthusiasts to watch badgers and foxes from this chap's front room!
He is surrounded by woods (just down the road from us) and puts out dog/cat food and peanuts on his front lawn every night. By 10.30 there were four small badgers and four fox cubs munching away quite happily even though the security light was on!
He has had up to eight badgers! The foxes and badgers seemed OK with one another but every so often a fox cub would go and nip a badger's bum for fun!
Springwatch had nothing on this! My son tried to get a video but couldn't really get close enough.
A great experience.
Anything to report anyone? Busy Saturday, catch up later x

Good morning yogasun! Another warm day today in the south. What a wonderful experience to see the badgers and fox cubs! Loved reading about it and everyone elses messages.

Very warm yesterday and I was working out in the garden - pup was lying in shady spot and had lots of ice cold water to enjoy! Yellow beak woke me up at 10 past 4 am yesterday with his singing - the start of the dawn chorus!! So up I got with pup in tow and sat outside listening to them all. It was beautiful - they were all singing their hearts out. Best part of the day!!

Robins followed me around all day yesterday waiting for treats, usual customers came to the garden - greenfinches, bluetits, blackies etc. Bats are flitting around come dusk - they are swift little critters - blink and you miss them!!! Field mice as usual are enjoying the nuts put out for the birds! Baby birds are now spreading their wings and investigating the big wide world!!

Just off to the beach now with pup - bit later than usual but its quite cool down there with sea breeze and pup will enjoy dipping his paws into the sea and having a fun play.

Best wishes for now - alfieblue n pup x
