I have my dogs blanket and a few of her soft toys in the washing machine , including her " Bed Teddy " , the soft dog she takes everywhere and sleeps on , when it's bedtime she picks it up in her mouth and takes it to her blanket and lays down with it , every night without fail.
Well , normally I can get it washed and dried in one day by putting it in the machine early. Tonight she is doing a vigil on the machine , waiting for it to finish before she goes in and gets it out and puts it in the drier.
Little does she know though that it's too late to have a noisy drier going.

hi bigmama.
my little girl's the same when i manage to extract teddy from her grip and place it in the washing machine.
she stands guard, watching teddy get a good wash/rinse, then its the same when he's placed on the heater to dry.
she sometimes takes him while still wet!

Question Author
Bet she would love to go to bed with me , but she's not allowed upstairs , that's a dog-hair-free zone . :-0
She won't bark btw ruthann , she's not a barker at all.
Think I'll give it a quick tumble though or I'll feel guilty for washing it late. :-)

I will look for your message Ice sweetie :-)
Ainsley had a Mr Squidgy Man that he carried everywhere, and I thought I was being clever getting an identical one. No way. He would not touch Mr Squidgy Man No. 2, and even peed on him. Sorry, but its a late night drying session for you.
Question Author
The washer stopped and she got teddy out as I opened the door, she then took it over to the drier , so it's now getting a blow dry :-) xxxxx
Question Author
She's lying down with her head resting on it now , asleep :-)
Sorted .
Aw bigmamma that's such a nice posting - I just had a mental picture of your dog waiting by the machine even though I'm ashamed to say I don't know what breed (breeds?!) it is.
It's a great day today and we're going to a Hawk Experience Day (Mr. yogasun's belated birthday present) where he will get to fly birds of prey- looking forward to it. xxxx
Question Author
Morning yogasun , hope you have a good day , thank you for your lovely post. This is her btw , a large black labrador .

That's a lovely doggy tale bm, it made me smile & reminded me of my previous dog, a standard poodle. He'd go crazy when I washed his bed, blankets, toys & when they were drying on the line I'd often see him watching them waft about. Then suddenly he'd leap up & tug one of them off & the pegs would be catapulted over next door!
I've got a little dog now...he'd have to get the step ladder to fetch his washing in. :o)
bigmamma I am so glad she had her teddy to go to bed with. I expect she has renamed you as "goodmamma". She is a lovely dog reminds me of my old dog collie/lab she was nutty until the day she died, bless her. Now I have my two rough collies but sadly they do not play with toys the same. xx

Oh mamma what a lovely story! Each time I see a piccy of Porsche I am sure she gets even more beautiful!

She is such a clever girl, glad she got her snuggly toy back! Jack has a couple of favourites, but his ball is his ultimate 'I will ignore everything else' toy!

I so love to hear about your stroies, everyone. lankeela, you were definitely outsmarted there, and Robinia, I have visions of a wee dog up a set of stepladders fetching down his bed and bone!
