i really hope not alfie along with all the regular other posters on this part of the site are lovely people, I hope alfie doesn't go,
in fact alfie if you read this it must go to a vote if you want to leave, and I opt for a motion that you see out your contract to keep posting for the next 10 years with an add on option of a further 10,
This a legally binding contract witnessed by myself, madabout, Lottie, yoga, Lonnie, wildwood, Kleiber and everybody else whos names elude for the moment, but you know who I mean, so apologies alfie you are stuck with us, hard luck.

Hi madabout, well whoever it was can go jump, alfie is lovely, so many idiots over on that part. best to ignore most of them, some of them seem to think they own the site, they may be on here 17 hours a day talking rubbish and trying to boost there egos, but they do not own the site, far as I am concerned I would rather have a site full of people like alfie, than some of the idiots that try to bully people, lets hope alfie comes on here and sees this post. take care madabout, speak soon.
It is sad that some people make the site unpleasant for others.
I usually stay in A&N or wander over to Law to have a laugh at the mess some people get into (and it is never their fault).
I can be pretty thick skinned but once of twice somebody has made an uncalled for comment about me or my question. If it isn't a funny answer or a helpful one I don't see the point of posting a comment. Some people are just nasty - the only people that they amuse is themselves and their sycophants.
Maybe we should hound the bad people off the site instead. :-)

wolf that is a great idea! Turn the tables a bit?
madboutcats, how lovely of you to post this. And alfie, if you are reading this hun, you would be sorely missed if you went; I love to see your name on a thread-it is pretty much a guarantee of loveliness!
Please stay, at least in A & N where people can appreciate you xx

I agree 100% with all of you!! alfieblue, stick around - you're one of the good 'uns! madaboutcats, I posted on AB suggestions last week about some of the inane (if not downright offensive) comments we've been getting lately on A&N - it really winds me up, too. Some, no, sorry, most of us who come on to this site, have constructive things to say and it's nice to share each other's observations of the natural world around us, our pets (including mad moggies, eh, Wolf?) and to try and help genuine people with queries. Raysparx, I'll vote to keep alfieblue on here! Cetti, you crack me up with some of your funny observations and bensmum, you're lovely too, with your stories of your "babies". I'd miss all of you if I went - and leelapops, how's Jack? My Jake is till as mad as ever!! Love to you all, K xxx
Only just seen this post as have been busy.
Please don't stop posting alfieblue, nor Lofty or ray or madaboutcats, Cetti, bensmum, wolf, leela, Kleiber and a lot of other lovely normal pleasant people. I have to say I am quite shocked at some of the postings in response to often seemingly normal questions and I am NOT a prude at all. And some are downright nasty.
We will keep posting.....won't we alfie? (Please!) xxxx

Hello lovely alfie, now do you see how much we all care?!
Ah yogasun, you are lovely thanks, but if you knew me you would see I am not quite normal :P Kleiber, my boy is good thanks, better than me with my sudden cough (Bronchitis apparently!). He has been a little itchy recently, but he seems much better. Woof to your clan :)
madboutcats, me too!

Ok - here I am again! This time i am going to do the message in bits and bobs so I don't lose the whole thing - please bear with me........ (its my age - so my kids tell me!!!)
madboutcats : thank you so much for your message - you are such a sweet pea! :o)
I love you all and have missed you all so much.
I apologise for my outburst few days ago but I guess some of the postings just got to me, particularly LC's - and I guess a lot of you know why. But anyway, thats over now and thank you so much all of you for your messages. I think in future I will keep quiet re 'strange people' and just enjoy this lovely section joining in as best I can and looking forward to all your news.
I have so missed the banter, the wonderful chats, the tales about pussy cats, doggies, pets, the nature thread - wildlife, birds etc etc. and the humour that we all enjoy. You are such lovely people!!
madboutcats - bless the little blackbird you spoke of! Yellow beak still prances along the fence outside of my kitchen until I 'serve' him breakfast!!! Lol!! Little devil!!!
We have 2 baby greenfinches in the garden at the mo - such sweet birdies - little balls of feathers and fluff!!!
Pup is doing just fine - back to normal (naughty!!) but hey ho - he's my boy!!!
Went for our first walk yesterday after a week and bit (due to his knee injury) and boy we both needed the fresh air and the exercise!!
He was so excited and I was worried (as he started bouncing round like tigger!) that he would hurt his knee again ....but all was well! We had a beaut walk through the meadows and then down to the beach - sun was shining and all was well. Cont'd .....

Cont'd (cos else i go over my word limit!)
Met the usual doggy owners on walkies (don't know their names but know doggy names!) - one in particular - Poppy - a beautiful rescue dog (mixture between alsaltion and leggy thing - not sure what!!) - After a nasty start in her life, the new owners took her under their wings and she is such a wonderful character now. So affectionate, loving and playful - so lovely to see.
Ray - I guess a 10 year contract and another 10 years on top means - yes - I should hang around!!!! Pleased to - love this section and all you guys and girls that make it so worth while!
To bensmum, cetti, wolf63, leelapops, kleiber, and yogusun - thank you so much.
Cont'd...... (so I don't lose the plot here or the thread!!!)

Jings! Can't remember where I was now!!!
Oh yes - yogusun: I think i read that you had enjoyed a hawk day?
My daughter treated me to one couple of years back and what a wonderful experience it was. We spent the whole day learning, getting to know the birds, flying them, feeding them, all sorts. Amazing, what beautiful creatures they are.
Anyway, thanks to you all again. Best wishes to you all and big hugs to all your pets.
Leelapops - I hope you feel better soon :o)

yipeeeee alfie is back, as you can tell we've all missed you.
it started raining weds eve and i was watching a blackbird really enjoying a good old splash in the birdbath and enjoying a shower at the same time.
i had to rescue a little chaffinch fledgling the other day, id heard a thud against the upstairs bedroom window & went to look as at least 3 crows began circling overhead, i went rushing outside expecting to find a body and found this poor little tyke almost out cold, its eyes were nearly rolling in its head, well i couldnt leave tyke to a fate that involved a crow so i picked it up and took him to the bird table where it could hopefully recover in peace and tyke did disappear so i do hope he/she recovered to fly another day.

Oh madboutcats - poor little'un! It sounds like he/she recovered - tho prob seeing stars for a while!!!
We have had the same with birdies crashing into patio doors - always the young ones!! One time a young blackbird took a hit beak on and was lying on the patio - however, we did the same as you - picked it up, put it in a safe place and watched over it. The little critter came round, none the worse (apart from maybe a headache!) and flew off to enjoy another day!!! I wonder if it was related to Yellowbeak - He's a tough old bird!!!!! :o) xx
