Squirrels
3 Answers
Has anyone got a remedy please for the removal of visiting squirrels? After a weekend away I return to my garden to find the fig tree has been raided, the birdbath upended on the floor, two feeders containing birdseed on the floor (one broken) and half an inch of birdseed all over the paving tiles.
A vermin controller cannot be expected to do much even if I find one, as it is impossible to know where in the adjacent park the squirrels are nesting. As I am not at home most mornings, I cannot keep an eye on the trees. Being a pensioner I cannot afford to keep replacing things and this is the first year I was expecting to harvest some figs off a young tree.
Advice would be very welcome and grateful thanks to anyone who takes the time to write back.

I have now got a cage and have just re-located one about 10 miles away. I cannot kill anything but I understand it might find its way back. I am aware that this is against the law but if the council do not control them on their land, what can anyone do?
Again. thank you all very much.
