I would try to avoid a kennel which doesn't ask for this. My dog got kennel cough despite being vaccinated and was really poorly. She never went in kennels again in her life because I felt so guilty.
The latest vaccine is only needed once a year and like barb I would be dubious about a kennel which does not ask for it.bettwr to ge safe then sorry. Be warned tho as Illyria say it is not actually an injection but drops up the nose and any vet will tell you dog do not like it , so dont be upset if the vet suggests muzzling your dog while he gets the drops put in
If your dog still got it despite being vaccinated, why bother? I never have mine done, and unless they are either very young or very old, it is only a minor condition in most cases, usually put right with a course of antibiotics, and benelyn to relieve the symptoms. They can get it in the local park or walking past other dogs, and where I leave mine they don't insist on it. As said above, you should not have it done within two weeks of going into kennels.
