hi there, I have an 8 week old kitten, who has just had his first injection, and then the vet said he is to have his next one in about three weeks time.

the injection completely zonked him out and he slept the whole evening and i was quite worried about him wondering if the vet had overdone the dose but by the next day he was back and charging about all over the place.

hope this helps you.

best wishes and good luck jan x

Thanks afcjan x
I'm so glad you said that afcjan - my 16 week old kitten had his first jabs yesterday and has been pretty much sleeping constantly and has a permanant dazed look on his face when he's awake! I'm hoping by the time I get home from work he'll be back to his usual self!
i know its a very worrying time and i kept on wanting him to grab my foot and attack it but he just lay there.

I do hope your little kitten will be raring to go when you get home Miss-taken.

I do wish the vet had told me that he may have had that kind of reaction because i felt really scared.

I think I will be better prepared for the next one in 3 weeks time.

best wishes to all x
