sounds outside my window in lowestoft

i have a animal that makes a sound like a person trying to catch his breath but very loud. i am not sure if it is a fox or somethign but does anyone know what it is. they are fearly spead out (the noises) but wake me at around 2.25 in the morning

probably a hedgehog - it sounds improbable but the make a surprising ammount of noise - put out a plate of pet food for it (not bread and milk hedgehogs cannot digest the milk and it poisons them!)

Hedgehogs do make a noise like you describe. They are also noisy eaters
