New Forester...HELP!!!
6 Answers
Sounds like you know all about wildlife...so I wondered. People keep bringing me pigeon chicks (not at this time of year, but I want to be ready for when it all starts again!!)
I usually hand them over to a local rescue, but they are often full, so I need to know how to care for them.
How do I feed them? How often etc..and when would I be able to tell if they are OK to be put back outside? Anybody's ideas are gratefully received.

I've never tried to rear a pigeon, so I'm afraid I can't be much help (anyway I'm not the person to trust with a young pigeon -- I'm not sure I could resist the temptation of fresh juicy squab...)
Read what Anniekon and I said for this question:

The reference I gave then seems to cover everything.

Sorry, it wrapped. Try again:

If that isn't live, paste it into the address bar in bits.
Final try -- the full stop got it that time:

Thanks a lot!
You did make me laugh/cringe when I imagined you tucking into some of the smelly chicks I get in....yucko!
I always try not to intervene too much, but the creatures that make it to my doorstep are often on their last legs anyway...so I give them a chance, or a dignified exit.
I'm going to get a few days at the rescue I use, & they are going to teach me some stuff ready for whatever gets bought to me in a box next!
