how do i stop neighbourhood cats entering my house?

To them it's merely part of the landscape in their territory or intended new territor, so if a door is open then they'll consider it fair game to investigate if they feel so inclined. That's why I think cats are great :) My neighbours' cats often wander in and out at will and it doesn't bother me a jot. I just have to check my 'visitors' aren't indoors when I go out :)
Phantaxus ... we have 2 cats but it doesn't stop other cats coming in the house for a nosey if the door is open. In fact, one comes in quite regulalry cos he fancies my female cat (fixed of course). He waits at the window for her and when I let her out they go off and play in the garden!!
Ain't love grand.
