Hi our puppy is 12 wks old and getting on ok with housetraining. However we have uncovered a nasty habit - she pees on her bed! Can anyone suggest why she does this and more importantly how to stop her doing it. Cheers

You may need to take her outside for the opportunity to wee more regularly. After food, as soon as she wakes up, when she is sniffing 'with intent', during play, and every half hour in between, when she is not asleep of course. Make sure you wait outside with her until she does the 'deed' and give her loads of praise. If you catch her doing something in the house, pick her up and take her outside, do not scold her, she may have finished the wee, or you may have a stream as you carry her. You need lots of patience, and never ever rub a puppies nose in their wee.

Agree with all jules said, and most of what terambulan said, apart from keeping the pup's water bowl outside! A baby of this age is not able to tell you when she wants a drink, and water should be freely available at all times. Pups can dehydrate very quickly if water is not available and they need to drink little and often particularly if playing hard. Drinking water is not directly related to when she pees, as it needs to work through the system.
Meant to add, give her somewhere she can pee, such as newspaper or puppy wee pads, and put them right near her bed to start with. Although this is not ideal as it will teach her to wee near her bed, as she is peeing on it you need to ''ween' her off it (groan, sorry about the pun). Gradually put the newspaper or puppy wee pads near to the door to the garden and encourage her to use them, making a great big fuss of her if she does it in the right place. Really go over the top, and tell her she is wonderful, what a good girl, lovely baby, such a good girl etc etc. letting her know you are really pleased with her.
(Just watch that all this fuss doesn't make her wee herself again lol). Give her loads of opportunities to go outside and she will soon pick up where she should be going, again do the 'pee dance' if she gets it right.
