my credit card was with Morgan Stanley for many years and they were great. Goldfish took it over, and they were fine. now Barclaycard have taken over.. what a bunch of monkeys! (can I get sued for this?)

want to name and shame anyone? (maybe not your friends and family!)

Sirandyraven, a much better form of revenge is to buy lots and lots of things on your card, month after month - and always pay it off on time. They have to put in loads of work and don't get a penny out of you.

that's what I do, jno, but Barclaycard haven't managed to send me a card and a pin number that actually work together!

they take a cut but it doesn't come from you in particular as someone paying cash will pay the same, so it's evened out across all customers. (Some retailers do impose a credit card surcharge; when that happens I don't use the card.) Amex charge more, so many retailers won't use them. I have a BA/Amex one that got me to the USA last year, and a BAA one which I only use to buy tickets on the Heathrow Express as you get a free upgrade.

Sara, exactly the same I was at Barclaycard before I switched and I am very unhappy to be back with them.

Am trying not to use them any more - evil items such as they are - but MBNA staff are trained Nazi-style.
