I want to sell my fish tank and I am in the process of cleaning it, but on the inside of the tank there is scale (we live in a hard water area) all over the sides. How can i get rid of this safely. I do not want harm any fish that will use the tank!!

White Vinegar will remove limescale. Spread the vinegar on with a cloth, and leave for a time. It usually takes quite a lot of rubbing afterwards with more vinegar and the cloth. The tank would need thoroughly washing out afterwards. Hope this helps.

OK I'll try this! Thank for the advice and yes I will thoroughly rinse it out! Thanks again.
Do as suggested already but use salt as it'll give you an abrasive effect which will help scrub up better

this might help too
