Indecisive dog!!

Hey all!
Cleo is being typically female! Due to the bad weather, Cleo has been inside with me today, and she was just whinging and having a cry and sat by the back door, so I let her out as she wanted to go see Ashke.
She does this everyday, cries to come in, comes in and then cries to go out!
I feel like an evil mum if she is inside and wants to go out, or if she is outside and wants to come in!
Any one know why she is like this?
She is normally outside during the day, (my partner works from home so there is always someone in, apart from the hour & half he goes to the gym) and then sleeps in our bedroom. Ashke is out during the day and sleeps in the kitchen.
Any advice would be great as we cant seem to win!
Thanks!

My little princess is the same, Merlin is a cat, she always wants under the covers at night. This annoys me as she always waits until I am comfortable and then wants the duvet raised so that she can get in - I think she wants to be with mummy. However as soon as I get comfortable again she wants back out and is too stupid to do it herself.
Her brother can bury under the duvet without me having to lift up a corner. Then he bites my feet.

My OH says she doesnt do it at all during the day when he is working!
I have just let her back in, and she has gone into the kitchen as she is a very mucky soggy pup (they do have a kennel outside but she would much rather sit by the back door in the rain!) And she is crying and whinging to get out!
I cant win! I'm a bad mum whatever I do :-(

Wiggal, do you know the definition of 'a door' ? The definition of 'a door' is 'something which a dog always thinks it's on the wrong side of'.
Some of them love playing this game.
One of mine is currently doing this inside the house. She sniffs at the drawing room door and paws at it. So I get up and open it for her. She then sticks her nose into the hallway, may or may not take one step outside, and comes straight back in again. I think she's doing it on purpose, because she thinks I look too comfortable! And, no, I'm not leaving the door open because a) she then wouldn't 'want ' to go out and this would spoil her 'game' b) there'd be a draught. I expect that were we in the hallway she'd be doing the same the other way round.
You can't win!
