Fox, Fleas and Sheep Wool!

I have been told that when foxes need to get rid of fleas they gather up some sheeps wool in their mouth and then slowly back into a pond or beck. As they are backing into the water the fleas move up their body until they are on the foxes head. They fox then slowly submerges its head and all the fleas jump onto the sheep wool held in the foxes jaws. The fox then lets go of the wool and the fleas float away in the wool. Is this true - I have a couple of pints resting on this. They other myths I am trying to prove/disprove is the 99 ice cream question and does lightning bend the tail of the Golden Orfe.
