In Coleridge's Rime of the Ancient Mariner the setting is a wedding where there is an ancient mariner who 'stoppeth one in three' of the guests. Having got the third guest's attention, the mariner tells the tale in which the sailors bring tragedy by killing an albatross. This was only unlucky for the guest in that they had to suffer the tale being recited, but that's being picky!
