ive rescued a 10yr old yorkie,she has just started to show a season,after the season, how long should i wait to have her spayed.

They are usually done about half way between seasons, so around three months after she has finished this one.

The estrus onset is usually 6 months after the last one, Our Vet, here in the U.S., prefers performing the ovariohysterectomy (OHE) a month after the estrus ceases, but, as lankeela states, half way between the periods is acceptable...
