Any unusual cats' names? - and the reason behind it - so far I've got Tin Opener (he answers to the sound of it) Trotsky (a 3-legged moggie who moves somewhere between a walksky and a runsky) ASBO (self explanatory) The Magnificent Gunnar Hamundarson Of Hlidarend(owned by a pal of mine in Iceland - the country not the shop - not sure of the reason for this one.
My cat used to be called ''Willow' before i found out that he was a boy cat....so Pussy Willow didnt suit....had to change his name....
and strangely enough zacsmaster, my cat was delivered to me as a 7 week old kitten, on a motorbike also and appeared from inside my x-bloke's leather jacket!! awwww
My lady cat is called Merlin - her previous owner read names out to her until she meowed. I call her Princess Merlin - she looks like a giant bear cub and has an evil temper....but I love her.
Her brother is called Frankie - a nice and boring name. It should be Trouble because that is what he is.
My cat is named Nido.
I do not know why. We got her because her previous owners no longer wanted her. We never call her that though, we call her pudds :-) Or pudikins! lol
Norman (after Norman Bates/Psycho).
Moose.......he was a bit stupid.
Wombat....Moose's litter mate,I just liked the name.
Scruffy...rescue cat with long hair and 27 toes who liked to be carried around like a baby.
Monty...after Monty Python.
Sven...because he was ginger with blue eyes.
Stimpy....he reminded me of the cat off the Ren and Stimpy cartoon.
Airborne.........last out of the litter of a ferrel mother ....so called because the last GRAY to win the Derby wa Airborne.
Lovely adorable, clean, easy to cope with cat.....male.
joggerjayne - weird answer but thanks anyway
Zacsmaster - your mate sounds a decent guy
Octavius - rescue cat (brilliant)
CarlSagan - I like it
20SilkCut - was Zacs mate your X?
redcrx - your old friend sounds interesting
eash - pudds sounds better than Nido
Kleiber - your daft son sounds OK to me
daffy654 - 7 cats? - great
lollyone - strange but good
annie0000 - cheers
sqad617 - give Airborne a tickle under the chin from me - looking forward to Monday to hear the rest of your love story
My son's two were called Brahms and Liszt, bit obvious I know. My moggie, who adopted us and already had a name is Frankie - he too would have been better named nuisance.
