Any unusual cats' names? - and the reason behind it - so far I've got
Tin Opener (he answers to the sound of it)
Trotsky (a 3-legged moggie who moves somewhere between a walksky and a runsky)
ASBO (self explanatory)
The Magnificent Gunnar Hamundarson Of Hlidarend(owned by a pal of mine in Iceland - the country not the shop - not sure of the reason for this one.

According to Old Possum's Book Of Practical Cats, the names that we give to cats are not their real names ...

... only the cats themselves know their real names.

Cooking Fat!
My cat used to be called ''Willow' before i found out that he was a boy cat....so Pussy Willow didnt suit....had to change his name....
and strangely enough zacsmaster, my cat was delivered to me as a 7 week old kitten, on a motorbike also and appeared from inside my x-bloke's leather jacket!! awwww
squiffy - Named after a broom that an old friend of mine used to dance with at uni when he was drunk
My lady cat is called Merlin - her previous owner read names out to her until she meowed. I call her Princess Merlin - she looks like a giant bear cub and has an evil temper....but I love her.

Her brother is called Frankie - a nice and boring name. It should be Trouble because that is what he is.
My cat is named Nido.
I do not know why. We got her because her previous owners no longer wanted her. We never call her that though, we call her pudds :-) Or pudikins! lol
I've got a female cat called Gavin. My daft son named her.
Norman (after Norman Bates/Psycho).
Moose.......he was a bit stupid.
Wombat....Moose's litter mate,I just liked the name.
Scruffy...rescue cat with long hair and 27 toes who liked to be carried around like a baby.
Monty...after Monty Python.
Sven...because he was ginger with blue eyes.
Stimpy....he reminded me of the cat off the Ren and Stimpy cartoon.
Kevin and Connie.
Fiddich - we had a dog called Glen (Glen Fiddich is a malt whisky and my Dad got to name the cat)
Guinness - had a creamy head and a dark body.
Airborne.........last out of the litter of a ferrel mother ....so called because the last GRAY to win the Derby wa Airborne.
Lovely adorable, clean, easy to cope with cat.....male.

johnny.5 - is trex related to CarlSagan's Cooking Fat?
my other cats dont have such interesting names.
Piglet - cos she has no chin and looks like piglet from winnie the pooh

rolo and galaxy - because they are toffee and chocolate coloured

Junior - because she is smaller but the spitting image of squiffy.

My sisterin law had a dog called scampi, cat called chips, and gerbils called side salad and tartare
My son's two were called Brahms and Liszt, bit obvious I know. My moggie, who adopted us and already had a name is Frankie - he too would have been better named nuisance.
