Dog Training Classes

how/where can i find dog training classes in my area? my little jack russell is so bright im certain he would enjoy those kinda fun classes too but unsure how to go about finding where they are.

check your local paper or with your Vet. The notice board at my Vets is always full info about this sort of thing, or when out walking ask a few of the other dog walkers I've found the vast majority will be more then willing to spend the odd ten minute discussing their dogs and training

You are about twenty years too late for the classes I used to run at Lawshall, near Bury St Edmunds!

However, I have found some classes for you: this one is held at Gt Ashfield near Bury St Edmunds (junction 47 off the A14). Run by Sophia.

Also some held at Nowton (near Bury St Edmunds) called Best Buddies, run by Sarah Connell 01284 767050.

There are also classes at Stonham Barns just off the A140

Another one a bit further up the A12 is at Saxmundham on a Wednesday, Heritage Coast Dog Club, run by friends of mine, Denise and Robert 01728 603386.

All of these are 'pet' obedience clubs rather than strict competition obedience and all use motivational fun methods rather than the 'pick 'em up by the scruff of the neck' methods!

thanks so much for that - i will give your friends a ring at Saxmundham. I am at work during the day so im hoping (although not too hopeful!) their classes would be in the evening.

Yes they are in the evenings. They are Boxer people, and very friendly and welcoming.
