Sea sickness
Will my tablets for vertigo help to ease the possible problem of sea sickness when I go on a cruise? Or will I have to purchase some appropriate medication?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you are going with a older smaller tug-boat like FredOlsen or Thomson then it is a different answer then I'm afraid. There is a brand called Bonine that is handed out for free, by the ships I have been on.
If you are cruising I hope you have discovered the most excellant site boards.cruisecritic.com - make sure it is .com and not .co.uk. Scroll down to the link for your appropriate cruise line, and scroll down further to the Ports of Call section to find out what to do in each port thus avoiding paying for the overpriced ships excursions.

No those vertigo tablets are not suitable for motion sickness including sea sickness. You will have to buy something else. Go to your pharmacy and ask to see the pharmacist. You will need to tell him/her what other medication you are on including these ones and anything else so that they can give you something that does not interact with your medication.
Having said all this when we were on a cruise last November you hardly feel any motion at all as they are such big ships. I took some tablets with me and never needed any. As a previous poster stated, they should have some on board if you need them.
Enjoy your cruise
