How old is your cat?
The last few years of our family cats life was spent him bringing in all sorts! Every morning we were greeted with leaves, sticks, discarded fag packets, pieces of newspapers and when they started to build a new estate across the road he brought in cement bags with lumps of concrete attached!! We don't know how he managed to get them through the catflap but he must have tried for hours!
It made us giggle and we assumed he brought those things in because it was all he could manage to catch at this age lol
Bless him I do miss Soots and his funny antics.
Do you also have a dog and the cat is copying its' behaviour? We used to have a cat who thought he was a dog. He was a kitten when we got him and our dog practically reared it so thats why! He was hilarious.
Ours (when she was only a few months old, just after her injections/being spayed) brought bottle tops and sticks home for months.

She then started bring worms!!J

Just be thankful your cat isn't bringing in unidentified pieces of tattered fur and flesh (or live bats, a personal favorite of mine)
ours used to play fetch with drinking straws, hilarious! sorry jen, don't know why your cat is doing this, the sticks are probably presents for you, just be thankful it's not mice and birds!
