Could anyone who has personal contract hire please send any tips or advice.

Am currently shopping around for quotes for PERSONAL CONTRACT HIRE on a nissan car. But have had a quote from a company which am quite happy with but its not as cheap as nissan main dealership???

Am firstly bit anxious as have always bought cars and not had contract hire and am worried whether or not it should be with the main dealer and not another company.

Any advice or experiences would be much appreciated as am about to have a baby in few weeks and really need this sorted.

Thanks

I have a Contract Lease car thru the company I work for - so slightly different. But Audi quoted me several hundred pounds MORE per month than the company I found on the internet.
As long as the pacakge is the same I would go with the cheaper one.
Is maintenance included?
How many months deposit is it?
Do contracts run for same length of time
Are tyres included? (ie wear & tear)
You will I think face a charge when it goes back for any damage that is not general wear and tear. Ie damaged hubcabs (kerbed them!) and dents or scratches. Again its normally cheaper to get the repairs done by Chips Away or someone before sending it back as the dealer will charge loads.

(Personally.. I wouldnt get a Nissan though! But each to their own!!!! ha ha)

Ha ha I know nissan blue bird!!

Its the quasqai+2. The deposit is more then the usual 3+35 but the overal monthly still makes this companys quote 1000 cheaper then nissan over the whole duration. Have gone for a no maintenance package as i do very little mileage. Have looked at every detail this company have sent me and they are not only coming out as the cheapest but dont do know sales pitch rubbish. But they have really been the cheapest.

Really appreciate your helpful advice. Thanks
I think the dealers would all be much more expensive if you went direct. I also have a no maintenance contract - the car is new.. you would have to be very unlucky for it to go wrong. Plus they all come with 3 yr warranty anyhow!.
Prices can vary widely between the dealer and 3rd party leasers. I would say (despite the fact its a Nissan ha ha) you have found yourself a good deal!)
Go for it! And if you decide you are not totally in love with the car - you can get another new one in 3yrs time!!!
I love my Audi - and am already sad about it going back in 2 yrs time!
Just make sure you look after it - especially with children.. Any damage will have to be repaired and it can be expensive!

So am presuming I just service the car as normal??

Someone has said not to use anything other then dealerships as incase its a bit if a dodgy company and they can reclaim car stating that its a recall?? my deposit is nearly1000. the company seems fine have read all small print could pos get!! So am presuming thats why my monthly is cheaper? But even when have totalled each one have had four quotes this one still cheapest.
Yeah the monthly payment will be cheaper if the deposit is big.... I have never had problems and have had 3 from different places over the years.
With no maintenance you will have to pay for any services - but check with the Lease company how much the first service will be. To be honest you are still likely to be better off without maintenance. Unless you want the security of having it. I dont have it.
I wouldnt imagine the lease co can recall a car unless its recalled by the manufacturer. You are signing a legal contract with them that the car is yours for the duration of the term.
