all the principles girls have lost their jobs, we were in the same group (Mosaic) but my company managed to find a buyer very quickly after the administration was announced on monday, but it has been awful all week not knowing if we would have a job by the end of it. i have never been in a redundency situation and it is horrible. I feel so sorry for principles girls though, they are all gutted.

That's sad Dot.

So thats Principles now gone too?
Sorry to hear that dot. There's so much of this happening it's difficult to see where it's all going to end. Everyone seems to be looking at their jobs and wondering who's going to be next.

yep weeal, debs have bought the stock i think but no jobs for the girls, absolutely awful they were in tears tonight
oh dear another one its not good is it
Weren't Rubicon looking at buying it or did that fall through?

Very sad for the girls who ar elosing their jobs.
The only consolation is that Brown will rot in hell for all eternity for what he has done to our once proud country, but take heart if we can pull together to get rid of him and his incometant entourage we still have a very slim chance, but we have only days not weeks!!!!
I to wonder where this is going to end.I am no financial wizard but I am very concerned for our country. I am retired now I just have a part time job in a local bakery, but even that is affected. I started work on 15 hours a week and now it's down to 4 hours which isn't really worth turning up for, but I keep hoping that things will improve.
Well my job is safe and sound for the next 3 years at least on very good money so I feel for you my fureer and your staffies

i was shopping 2day in colchester town and everyother shop is gone it's riduculous, all those who are out of work now struggling to make ends meat and many people have lost there homes how long do resessions last???

the last one in the 80's i was only a baby so don;t know
Blame Brown, he will not suffer anything other than a fat pension to which he has no right, there never was in this nation so greater need for revolution of the mass public.
It's really depressing walking round town, especially the Arndale with all the shops having gone or trying to sell everything off and closing down.

Have seen Mark One, West One, Select already gone and Zavvi, Parchment and one of the shoe shops on the way out to name a few which spring to mind.
I am a pensioner so the only problems I have personally suffered so far have been loss of interest on my savings. I can manage with this by careful budget management but must admit I do worry about my daughter and her job. Obviously I remember the last recession but this time it seems to be more devestating.
We were newlyweds in the 1980s. We weren't doing too badly until 97 when labour got in. Our fortunes seemed to go downhill from there and are only just picking up again (hopefully). We both work for our local council and although cutbacks are being made we both have the sort of skills that get us jobs in other areas - he's a manager, I'm admin and promotional.

I don't see us getting out of this recession until labour is where it belongs - out of power. They will not be happy until every green field is built on, every ounce of manufacturing is removed, every private enterprise nationalised and every individual robotised.

Me and mrpuss sold our house 3 years ago and invested the money to live on the interest until we qualifield for the retirement pension. we now get peanuts interest and although we have both been taxed to the hilt all our working lives we are now in dia straits, we have the same overheads as every one else but are now unable to pay our way.

I don't understand why women get upset, they get work easier in a brothel than us men.
