Don't know if I have the spelling right but I have never heard of a Bruders Whale. I have tried googling it but no luck. The first time I heard of it was on Nature's Great Events and I know the names of most types of whale as I have studied them. It is possible they are known by a more familiar name.

Can anyone help?

I just Googled Brooders (as I assumed someone will have got it incorrect or it might be given as a pronounciation) whale and it says it's Bryde's (pronounced Brooders).

Google Bryde's whale and you'll get loads of hits
here you go, i thought it was spelt that way to.

The climax to the sardine run is a spectacular feeding frenzy as the dolphins round the sardines up into balls on which all the predators feast. Gannets rain down in their thousands, sharks pile in scattering the fish and a Brydes whales lunges in taking great mouthfuls of sardines.

And thank you Webbo. I thought it looked like it was from the Rorqual family.
Just came across ur post here... Lol you've prob already gotten ur answer! But just in case u have not, I believe u were looking for a "Bryde's" whale. It is spelled "Bryde's" but it is pronounced "broo-duhz" or broo-derz", depending on what type of accent u happen to have. Happy whale watching! :-)
I've also been googling Bruder's whale/Brooder's whale(sp?) after seeing this on Nature's Great Events (David Attenburough is the undisputed God of Nature programs!) The best I could find is this wiki link on Bryde's whales but not entirely sure whether it's the same whale? In any case, I hope this helps your studies! Media URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryde%27s_whale
Description:
The Bryde's whale, (pronounced brooder), is named after John Bryde (again pronounced Brooder) who was a Norwegian fisherman and whaler.
