How to make a Tuxedo with Tails cooler

I am going to a Ball in a few weeks time and it is black tie. I like to be a bit over the top so last year I wore a Tux with tails (white tie) which looked great. This year I'm gonna be wearing the same tux with tails with my hair in a Mohican. I'm trying to think of a way of 'punking' and outfit up without making it look 'cheaper'......

For instance I was thinking of wearing big DC trainers with it but thought that would make it look cheaper.

Anyone know any accessories or additions that I could add to it that'll fit well?

You could always wear the jacket over a brightly colored tshirt, like a rock tshirt or a St Patricks one? that could look fun!
