Cat peeing in dog's bed!!!

One of my 9yr old cats has started peeing in the dog's bed (when he's not in it!!!) They are indoor cats and have use of a cat litter tray which is cleaned regularly - I have 2 cats and they share the litter tray.
It has only started this week but on Thursday he did it 3 times!!!!
What can I do? I don't want to segregate them as they are all part of the family.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Cats don't like the smell of citronella but I don't know about the poor dog.
When I left my bag on the floor while I dashed to the loo, after a long day out, the cat filled it with wee which was simply awful. I guessed it was pay back for leaving her all day and she hasn't done it again thank goodness.
