Dog with a 'water infection'?
5 Answers
Every couple of months or so my dog - a bitch - keeps leaking and jumps up quickly when she realises but when she's asleep she can sometimes completely empty her bladder. I know this, because I let her sleep on my bed sometimes and the other night woke up with very wet legs and the dog still sound asleep! She's only two years old so it's obviously not an age thing - I was wondering if it could be a water infection, if so whats the best advice? TIA

She was spayed though the vet made a horrendous job of it by'accidently' putting a stitch through a vein or artery and she nearly died. This resulted in her having to be 're-opened' repaired and re-stitched. I can understand her leaking and I don't blame her at all and she's never told off about it but it just puzzles me that this leaking isn't constant and that she can go months without a problem and then leak frequently for some time. I thought it might be a water infection and was considering the cranberry treatment as I'm aware that it helps some women also. She has to go for her injections in a couple of weeks and I'll make a point of asking.
