Does anyone know what the best age is to start weaning or stopping baby rabbits having milk - they are orphaned babies that have been hand reared since they were 2/3 weeks old - they are about 6 weeks now.

Naturally they are wanting less but would you keep lowering whats available or stop altogether?

Cheers

You can buy baby rabbits at six weeks, so they should easily be weaned off milk by then. Are they taking proper rabbit food as well (either a shop bought mix or greens etc) as that should be enough for them, plus of course water available. No doubt they like the taste of the milk and will keep drinking it if offered!
