Slugs

Someone in the office is asking whether a slug, when cut in half, will become two slugs, or simply die. Does anyone know?

Very simple organisms like worms can grow a new tail if cut in half, the tail part dies. I suspect slugs are slighty more complex in their physiology, so I think they just die.

You can kill slugs with salt....but not a good idea for the squeemish!!
