My daughter was complaining of a sore throat. I had a look in her mouth and she had quite a large white patch on the side of her throat. She had no other symptoms and said it was only mildly painful when she swallowed. Her problem was that she could feel it. Anyway....she coughed it up and what came out was the size of a small marbel....yuk yuk yuk. It left what looked like a little crater. Any idea's what it was?

She's ok now......I'm just curious because of the size of it.

ummm....it was a tonsilolith.

Food gets packed into the crypts of the tonsil, builds up and forms a hard concretion which when rejected, tastes like sour milk.
