Problems with digital TV
5 Answers
Hi, I recently bought a new telly (acoustic Solutions) and have been having trouble with the picture breaking up - mostly on ITV. I called the aerial bloke out and he added an amplifier to the aerial. Before he left the problem recurred so he checked everything again and said that the signal was coming through as strong as was possible and it seems to be a fault with the telly. So I took it back and got a replacement. However, the problem is still there, if anything its worse. Its Ok when playing DVDs. Should I take the telly back and get another or should I call the aerial man again, or should I kill myself now and be done with it?

and be aware that if your area hasn't changed, the digital signal strength is lower than it will be when fully switched.

Unless your TV Region has fully changed over to Digital from Analogue you will suffer from break-up of signal.
Some Channels such as ITV are transmitted on less power than say the BBC Channels. Once the Analogue Signal is switched off, Transmitter Power will increase 10 Fold. It is not your TV that is at fault !!!!!!!!!!
