I'm just throwing this at you because I need to rave at someone.

I've recently bought another copy of Furtwangler's 1950 Scala recording of Wagner's Ring, because it's been remastered and re-released by Archipel.

I've had it on over the past few days, and I have it on now.

I just want to tell you ... if there are any Wagner fans out there ... that it is utterly, utterly divine.

The remastering is nothing short of superb, glorious, wonderful.

Kirsten Flagstad as Brunhilde is mind-blowingly brilliant ... the finest Wagner soprano of all time. This edition picks up every wonderful nuance of her voice.

I feel as though I've waited all my life for this recording.

I'm going to run out of superlatives.

Guys ... just go out tomorrow and buy it ... Please !!

I am in Heaven.

JJ cant you find it on Utube & share with us.......I tried with you last pieces but couldn't find any coughing.
For perfection, try the Nigel Kennedy/Klaus Tennestedt recording of the Brahms Violin Concerto, or Emma Kirkby singing Mozart's "Exsultate Jubilate"

Music is wonderful.

Hate you JJ. Been happy with the Solti for years and feel envious now.

For "free" Ring der N........ you can't beat the live Met productions on R3 each year.
