How do you clip the wing to stop them from flying up onto the fence any answers welcome thanks Tez

If you'll catch your chicken(s) and wrap it snuggly in a towel, leving one wing exposed, you'll see that on the underside of each wing are two rows of feathers. The trailing or longer feathers are the primary flight feathers. Cut these back by a good three inches or more. Don't cut the shorter, denser feathers near the front edge of the wing. These will have blood circulating in the quill shaft. You can cut only one wing, but it's suggested that you cut both. Use sharp scissors...
Snip the first three longest feathers on one wing only. Just the pliable end, 1inch.

Cut other side only if necessary - they must be allowed some mobility if free range.
