Just saw this on the BBC news website and thought it couldnt hurt to circulate it.

They are struggling to care for all the dumped cats at Battersea Dogs Home and re-homing numbers are down.

Do if you are thinking of getting a cat or kitten - you may want to look into this! Find a furry friend to tug on your heart-strings!

I wanted to get two kittens - but its just not the right time at the moment as we have a lot of building work going on...

Just to add to that, most of the RSPCA catteries are overflowing also - with huge waiting lists of cats waiting to come in.

We're always full, but summer is the worst because of 'kitten' season.

If only people would get their animals from rescue centres instead of breeders.
