We have a visitor in our garden, leaving a little turd about 4ins in diameter, every few days. Its black and slimy and I found two of what could be cherry stones in the last one. There are also some signs of digging. We have a fence round the garden and its semi rural. I cannot believe it was a badger, its certainly not a cat. Any suggestions?
sorry I should have been more accurate! The actual pile is about 4ins across. Not always that big. I am hoping its hedgehog rather than water buffalo, although we have had some flooding recently.....
Badger poo is usually quite easy to identify, they make a half hearted attempt to dig a small hole then leave the poo exposed. Usually black and slimey. They will use the same area again and again. We have lots of it on our allotments
Sorry not an answer just wanted to say thanks to Heathfield - your reply made me shake with laughter for a good 5 minutes. Cheered me up after another August day of rain
