As a dog lover, with a life long attachmen to GSD.s I tend to gree with Dancairo, I'm sure I could think of a punishment to fit the crime and F**k what the do-gooders think

Big bloody deal! In cases like this, the punishment never fits the crime.
As Boo says - at first I did not realise that it was a GSD.
How can people do such things? The dog must have been suffering for months before it got into that state. I think people capable of doing such things are evil and should be punished severely.
I wonder if they are any better at looking after their own children.
