scroll down to the picture of the the three dogs, those are not lab head shapes!!
Don't buy one, Snappy!!
woofgang, being a Weimaraner owner had her suspicions - and we've had many Labrador/Retrievers so was also highly suspicious as they just didn't look right.
I found this warning: "Silver" Labradors are purely a scam and are either crosses with Weimaraners or very light chocolates. An actual silver Labrador (a dilute chocolate) would be treated as a mismarked dog and not command a high price.

Marvin 84, Weimaraners are lovely dogs, and I wouldn't choose another breed, but they are not labradors and have different breed characters and needs. Weimaraners are quite demanding to own, they are bright, proactive dogs, need loads of attention when maturing, do not kennel well and are co-operative rather than obedient. They can also be excellent personal protection dogs, whether you want it or not and this trait needs managing
Without offence to lab owners, I could imagine someone buying a "silver lab", expecting the lab temperament and wondering what the hell they had got hold of when the weimaraner aspect made itself known!!!
woolfgang, Weimaraner's are a beatiful breed, and being a 'gun dog' are very active. I adore their look and have spoken to lots of owners thru a kennel club... but decided I could never own one... they're way too active for me!!
My friend has a German Shorthaired pointer with the same sort of issues... except her dog decided that my relatively small head would make a good chew toy!! True story... sitting on the back step, patting this dog who very casually (and very gently, kind of playfully) puts my head in its mouth... like a lion tamer act.... very funny!
This story may have nothing to do with Weimaraner's / lab's... but ... well ... I was entertained!! :-)
