A little over a year ago my Grandmother passed away and for the last few months my grandfather has been in hospital and now care, so we have taken in my nans cat. She's a lovely persian blue (or is it blue persian?) whose 11 years old. We give her plenty of attention when we can and make sure she has food and water and her litter is kept clean. She seems happy enough but for some reason when she leaves the room she'll start crying until we either fetch her or call her, why? I don't know if it is because she misses my grandparents or something else. The last year has been hard on her but still. Can anyone shed any light on why she only cries when she leaves the room never when she is with someone?
Thanks

My cat is only little and he cries if he's not in the same room as me/us.
If she is 11 it might be the onset of dementia possibly coupled with poor eyesight. I would suggest a vet check to be safe
aww poor little thing is probably missing them as much as you are.
