My husband ,who is 61, has been having pins and needles sort of pain in his chest. And the other night he said it was going up into his neck. Has also said his stomach keeps feeling strange, like butterflies, as if he is excited or worried about something. Woulds you have any idea what this could be.? many thanks

Lilac....... well, perhaps it would be wise for him to see his GP, but I have to say that it is extremely unlikely that it is a symptom of heart disease. A stress related problem sounds much more likely.
Good luck and give us some feedback.

lilac......strange symptoms which do not bring anything to mind.
Is he on any medication?
Pins and needles sort of pains?...for how long has he been having them and are they associated with exercise (walking etc) ? Are they really pains or just "feelings?"
The pains do not sound cardiac in origin and the whole story sounds as though it may be an anxiety state.
However, answer the above questions and I will get back to you.
