Bob - Update

Bob still has tummy ache and not eating or poohing easily, I took him back to the vet this morning to get him x rayed. She came back to me to say that his tummy did not look right and there is definately something wrong with his gut, They need to operate which they are doing now, the phone call was 2 hours ago i wish they would ring,

I have just spoken to the vet, his lymph nodes are very enlarged and so is his splean,( his splean is the size of a cats) they have taken samples to send away, until they come back there is no definate diagnosis, There was no foreign body in his gut and they have taken samples to send away, until they come back we are still unsure but now they have ruled out no blockage they can give him drugs that he could not take before, she is hoping it is gasterentritis and that the organs are reacting to the infection, Fingers crossed

Well he is home, aparently he was so beautiful they all wanted a hold of him at the vets, they said his temperament was amazing, but now He is very tired, we came home with 7 different medicines starting tomorrow morning so that should be intresting, He has not had anything to eat yet but in an hour or so i will syringe him if he does not want anything, he has such along scar right down his tummy but as he is on alot of drugs he is in no pain, the vets were amazing if i have any problems tonight ring at any time, and i am going to pay off the bill bit by bit which is good, the vet has said that she is hopeful that it is tummy flu, It will take a few weeks to get some improvements it will not be instant Thanks for all your posts, I feel abit more relaxed tonight its like having a new born baby getting up every 3 hours to feed him, But he is worth it

Well he is eating,but it still hurts, and he is now poohing, ( diarrohia) which i was told i have to expect for a while, but he is very sleepy but starving when he wakes up, It will all take time 7 different medicines is very hard to get down a clamped jawed ferret but i won this morning poor little love hated me, but he has forgotten it now and just came to me for some fresh cooked chicken.

He actually seems brighter, He slept most of saturday which was abit worrying, But came out late last night for a wander, He seems to be eating a little better, and still has diarroha, but i do think the medication is starting to kick in.
