Mist frogs leg nowadays originate from India (the French Edible Frog is a long gone species, well in sufficient edible numbers anyway).
I hope you have a strong stomach,if not do not read any further!

The frogs legs are ripped off of LIVE frogs, and the (still living) rest of the body is discarded,to be used at a later date for compost on the fileds.
It is estimated that the frogs(minus legs) take up to 4 hours to die.
You can see why I shall not be eating them.
Jesus!
Indeed lollyone,
People are not aware of the origins/cruelty involved with many foods that they eat (not that many of us eat frogs legs).
Did you realise that an oyster is one of the few animals(there may be others) that is still alive when you eat it?
Probably Chinese people use the frog’s bodies to make soup or some other frog’s delicacy. They waste nothing...
Oh no don't say that Mr V...I love oysters :-(
Sadly society the Chinese do not have anything to do with eating frogs (surprising as they most anything else).
99% of the frogs legs eaten today come solely from India.

So sorry ummmm,I wasn't trying to put you off,just stating a fact.LOL
sorry,That should read "they eat most anything else"
the one place I have eaten frogs legs was in singapore and yes they throw the bodies away...
