We have a male who is about 6 months old. He is not fixed and he is a little territorial.

We got a little girl last night. She's about 3 or 4 months old. Shes super sweet and likes to cuddle.

We put them together and they kinda sniffed and walked around in circles smelled each other a lot. He tried to get ontop of her and then he bit her neck.

We seperated because we were kind of in shock and it was an automatic reaction.

i've heard we have to let it happen so he can establish dominance, but i don't want her to get hurt =[
and is it normal?
Do we need to keep them seperated?

I'm assuming he was trying to mate her?

I'd keep them seperated unless you want lots of little ones popping out.
