Cat not eating,sleeping lots and walking slowly

A child roughly grabbed our 3 year old cat who was very scared, wee'd then hid. Later on we noticed she wasn't eating hardly at all, is drinking but walking slowly and not jumping onto her normal chair but sleeping a lot. She has eaten a little bit more today but still sleeping a ot and walking slowly

the answer is to take her to the vet - she is clearly injured -can't see the reason for the query - sorry to be so blunt but from your post its clear there's a problem and without a professional examination there's no way to give a definite diagnosis.

Vet needed, just in case! - she may have hurt one of her legs in struggling or be bruised.

It is possible that she just got a fright - cats are actually very easily stressed.

But I would take her to the vet to have her checked out first - there is no point in taking a risk with her health.

My PC froze so message didnt get sent straight away, we just wondered if anyone had ideas until we got her to vets in the morning. We had already taken cat to the vet who checked her over and has said she was just very traumatized and possibly jarred her like being in an accident. She is a lot better now looking for food, brighter walking normally and been outside and sitting on the fence. Thanks for suggestions

sounds like broken bone - rib possibly? poor things in pain - just keep it warm & comfortable till you can get the vet - wouldn't vet call for emergency & give it a pain killer?
