What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? -

I've eaten rattle snake in Mexico...cow's heels and goat's head soup in Jamaica...chicken's feet and pigs ears in china - sea urchin in Japan. I drew the line at putrified whale meat in Iceland though, the smell was unbelieveable!!

Nothing weird. I wouldn't eat it. My BF did eat bugs in Thailand while I watched heaving...yuk

I can't compete with anything that's been mentioned up to now, but I've eaten snails (in England); octopus tentacles (in Spain), and they were quite weird enough, thank you.

Nothing very wierd for me. A friend got some octopus and gave me some to try while in Canada, I tried it but just couldn't with the tentacles and suckers and such on show...urgh!

Luckily she loves it so got it all to herself :)

durian fruit......there's nothing so sickening yet it's revered in the far east.

I wouldn't eat any of that rubbish merciasounds - I want to live !

You can't go on a cooks tour of the world, and not try the local dishes!! I've had kangaroo too, and shark, horse meat - i haven't eaten a mealful, only bites of some of them, i said no to the whitchitie grubs in Australia - but i did try fried locusts in I think it was Vietnam..or could have been Thailand I forget!

I've had octopus and snails. The first time I tried snails they were like rubber. That was in Paris as well. The next time was in a local Italian restaurant...they were lovely.

When I was little I used to eat sausages raw! Never got sick either.

tth - I used to do that too! I thought I was the only one! God, they were lovely. My mum caught me once and frightened the life out of me by saying I would get worms, or a big tapeworm - it never put me off though - I used to just squeeze the meat out of the casing.
I used to eat raw potatoes as well. Glad it's not just me that was weird.

I use to eat raw sausages as well. Still eat raw bacon and steak.....quite tasty :-)

some of the worst food I've ever saten was in france, Ummmm!!

I had Fugu (Japanese puffer fish) in Japan, it's deadly poisonous if not prepared right, the chefs have to train for years, anyway we went into this place, tried it, it was delicious, your lips tingle because of thevery minute traces of the poison. anyway about twenty minutes after leaving, my brother keeled over and started shouting oh my god, i'm dying, i'm dying - then he stood up and laughed - i nearly fainted he frightened me so much - I didn't half punch him on the arm after!

I couldn't possibly print what I called him Ummmm! I couldn't stop shaking for a good hour - i really thought that he was a gonner - I'm still waiting to get my own back, (It's been 11 years ago now!!)
