could someone please tell me a good tropical fish for cleaning algae from tank,in a communial tank,
to get on well with other fish.

Get a Plek- (don't know if thats the correct spelling), myson has one in with his fish and turtles and they all get on well.

Always used Rosy barbs myself....active little fish usually sold in pairs which spend most of the day feeding on algea. They don't fin-nip like tiger barbs either.

I had a sailfin catfish called "The Dude" - he did rule the roost but I loved him. Kept the tank clean and the other fish left him to do his thing.
