Has anyone seen my missing cat?
Kidding..but really. Kitten gone missing. I live in the country. He was about 1 ft long, I guess 6 months old. Absolute treasure. He was bright white. Could an owl or buzzard have got him? Would he just stray and come back? Do people just pick them up and give them to the RSPCA? The postman was always really interested in him (would pat him for ages outside). Then I went on a week's holiday, and he just disappeared. Any help appreciated.

It worked for us. Who was feeding him while you were away?? Ask them if he was around for his food. If food wasn't available at the normal times he may have gone off in search of more regular meals elsewhere. Hope you find him
Reminds me of when we came back to the UK after five weeks away in Australia.
Our neighbour had been looking after our late cat Smudge, but she hadn't seen her for two weeks. Apparantly she thought we'd abandoned her & went off in a huff. We were devastated & searched high & low for her. It was January & thick snow, but we found her fast asleep in the compost heap! We'll never forget the relief & excitement that morning.
I do hope you find your kitten, good luck. -x-
Check all out buildings and ask neighbours to check their's and garages, we've had a number of cats go missing over the years and most of the time they'd got themselves shut in somewhere.
we had one cat stolen, but this is very rare. As you were away, a neighbour may have started feeding him, or he may have gone looking for company elsewhere. As above - put up some posters, esp in rural comunities chances are someone knows something.
Hope you find him x
They can stray, particularly if they have not been neutered. Chances are he just went to find a warm lap to lay on elsewhere while you were away, and he'll probably be back.
However, in my experience, if you have a gamekeeper round your way you should have a chat with him too...
If and when he does come back, get him microchipped so that if he does wander again, he carries a record of where he lives and who his owner is. That way, if he is found they'll know where to come.
