Some people like to get their bitch spayed before she has her first heat (oestrus), some before.  Bitches reach puberty at different times (6 to 24 months, depending on breed, body condition, etc), but your vet will be able to advise you further!

Any time after 3 month, and a female puppy does NOT have to go through her first heat or even have to have a littler before she fixed.
