I have a question about entries for dog shows. George got his 3rd ticket yesterday (proud? Oh yes!). We have 8 shows which we have already entered in Limit. I've changed the details pages on Higham Press and Fosse Data but what do I do about the existing entries? Can I change to Open? TIA

Whoop whoop, congratulations, well done you.

8 Shows, thats more than I have done all year! If you had already entered the shows before you got third ticket, you can stay in Limit. But if you want to move up a class, and have Ch. in front of his name in the catalogue, if you ring Higham and Fosse they will usually sort it for you as long as catalogues havnt gone to print.

Thanks Jules, that's what I thought. Anytime now Lankeela will remind me that we never intended to show George. That seems a long time and a vast amount of money ago.
Woohoo! I saw the result online, and was jumping up and down. Sorry to be late with congratulations, been looking after a friends boarding kennels and no internet coverage as I have a netbook on a simcard. Fan bloody tastic! I saw Pearl Chadwick and she was grinning all over her face, she said Mr Thug was so excited when George got the ticket. You can stay in Limit provided he had not won it a week before the entry closing date. Look at each schedule and they give the date in the rules and regs. Make the most of it once you have to go in Open you will be up against the big boys (just realised how daft that sounds - they are all big boys!). The printers will only change your class if the closing date has not gone. Have just entered my pup at Birmingham, so if you are there I will expect cake! And I do just have one more thing to mention lol - is this Champion of yours the pup you had no intention of showing????????

Hi Lankeela, I have contacted Higham Press and Fosse Data and have managed to get most of the entries changed. We're at Leeds on Friday and it was too late but we will go the the Sec and request a class change. We are being pressured by the Limit dog owners to b***er off out of limit to give them a chance. All in good humour of course. Open entries have been smaller than Limit of late and I think George is possibly one of the 'bigger boys' anyway. There are no CC's for us at Birmingham so we won't be there but we have entered OEMC, Welsh KC, SKC, Darlington, Driffield & Midland. Will also enter W&PB in Edinburgh and LKA.
Going to ring the vet today to make an appointment to have his hips and elbows scored.
What would I have done without all the encouragement and advice form Ab'ers? Many thanks to all of you.
I am sure you can't change the Leeds entry as at the time of closing you were eligible for Limit, you can only change if you are ineligible for the class. Be careful what other exhibitors tell you, they want you out of the way lol!

I've managed to change all entries except Leeds and OEMC. I'll go the the Secs on the day and take advice. Quite happy to go up to Open and anxious not to appear to be a 'bandit'. Quite sad that we now shouldn't really compete at the Open Breed shows.
