Did anyone watch this yesterday evening? It is about the fisherman in Taiji, Japan and how they capture dolphins for worldwide dolphinariums. Those they don't sell, they slaughter. It is absolutely disgraceful and made me feel sick. An ex-actor, Richard O'Barry (who used to be in Flipper) is trying so hard to stop this culling, but doesn't seem to be getting anywhere.
It can be seen on the Channel 4 catch up site if you want to watch it.
about six/eight months ago I had about six email petitions to sign against this barbaric practice -one of them was instigated by one of the head honchos at National Geographic. There is a strong movement fighting this but whether or not they succeed remains to be seen.
I watched this and was deeply saddend by the whole program if you would like to try and stop this barbaric slaughter please take a look at this link Thank you. www.savejapandolphins.org
