goldfish dieing?

My goldfish has been acting ill the last few days.
It's; either been floating near the top, laying on the bottom or acting as if it's stuck in the plants, laying there, as if it's dead for a few seconds then fluterring about a bit . . . . .

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Swim bladder problem ..you can treat it with some stuff that a decent petshop sells is irt a bog standard goldfish.( you will need to put it in a separate container to treat it) ..if so you might be able to rescue it...also give it the smallest frozen peas you can pick out...defrost them and feed them to the fish this sometimes works
If it is a fancy a veiltail type you will probably try and fail miserably.... stick with easy tropicals as mixed tropical/ goldfish family tanks are really hard to keep balanced
You might not have enough filtration as well...worth upgrading as this will help prevent problems in the future... always be one level above what you ought to have for the tank
